Process

Everything you need to edit your website is provided, right here through your web browser. Simply create an account (FREE for www.finda.co.nz members), and pick a domain (that's the address for your site).

From here we'll create your account, and set up your website. You then just login, and within minutes you can be editing your site right here in your browser.

First Up you'll want to pick a theme that relates to your business, simply find the one you like, and select it. Just like that your website is completely changed. What's more you can do this ANY TIME you like!

Can I use my own photos?

Yes, you can add your own photos to the website. We have a simple upload system that allows you to quickly add photos from your computer to your website. Don't worry about the size as our system will auto resize your images to fit, however if you know how to reduce the size of your photos it is advised that you do as this will improve your upload time.

Is there a limit on photos?

You are currently limited to 100 photos in your image store, however you can remove photos at anytime to free up space to add new ones.

Content Management System (CMS)

"I've heard people talk about needing a CMS to update my site, is this a CMS?"
Well technically yes it is a content management system as it allows you to manage the content of your site. But it's so much more too, it's a complete website solution for working with a site.

We remove all the headaches so you don't have to worry about setting up hosting, establishing a database, installing a CMS, building the site skeleton around the CMS and then building your content. With Site-Creata, you simply sign up, pick a theme and add your content - leave the rest to us.

Sign Up

Registration is a three step process that shouldn't take much longer than 15 minutes, infact if you can type fast, you could complete it in five minutes. Of course the hardest part is picking a good domain name, and then checking it's available - that might take some time.

Website ready to view

Once registration is complete we then set up the domain to point visitors to your new location. This process takes about 20 minutes for our computers, and then they begin to tell the other computers around the internet where your site is. It can take up to 72 hours for all these "domain servers" to learn where your site is and for your site to become visible. However generally here in New Zealand you should be able to see your site up and running in less than 36 hours.

Can I use my own photos?

Setup Fee

Setup-up is FREE. We will cover the cost of purchasing your Domain Name or transferring it from your current register.

Monthly Fee

Site-Creata charges you only for the hosting of your site, and this low fee is NZ$39.95+gst a month. There are no extra fees for site creation, template changes, uploading images or modifying your content.

Each month a new invoice will appear in your control panel for you to review, however you don't need to do anything as we will automatically deduct the monthly amount from your credit card.

Email Costs

We will supply ONE email mailbox as part of the monthly fee. This mail box will have one email address and up to 4 alias addresses. (This means you can have bob@bobsplumbing.co.nz, with info@bobsplumbing.co.nz putting mail into Bob's mailbox)

If you require further mailboxes, these can be established for you.

Cancellation Fees

There are no cancellation fees, we simply close your account. We are unable to refund the current months fees.

Is my credit card safe?

Yes your credit card is safe. We have teamed up with DPS New Zealand's number one credit card processing company the same company used by many banks, TradeMe and other leading NZ Online retailers. We also have 128bit security encryption for all credit card data - again this is the same level of security that the banks use. We make all efforts to secure your information.

What is a modern web browser?

Many of the web browsing tools we use today are actually very old. Did you know that Internet Explorer 6 is 5 years old? And version 5 is over 7 years old. In the life of the internet that is very old.

Modern browsers are those that have been built to understand the new web standards, standards we have used while building Site-Creata.

So is my browser modern?

No, your browser is unfortunately too old to use Site-Creata. Please install free of charge one of the modern browsers listed below.

Site-Creata recommends that you work online in the safest way possible, and we recommend that you use one of the following browsers which will not only enable you to work with Site-Creata but will make your entire online experience a more safe (from virus and spam) and enjoyable one.
